Traumatic events can happen in a second, but prevention efforts can keep them from happening at all. As the only comprehensive Level I adult, pediatric and burn trauma center in the region, our research and expertise has made us leaders both in saving trauma victims’ lives with leading-edge treatments and in trauma prevention through life-saving programs. With a strong commitment to breaking the cycle of trauma, every day we get to help members of our community avoid surprise endings to their day.
It only takes seconds for a burn to become life-threatening, which is why we, at the Evans-Haynes Burn Center, focus so much of our internal training and community outreach on fire and burn prevention. From an eight-hour Advanced Burn Life Support class for all of our staff to PSA videos for local families to education for EMTs, special government forces, and rural hospitals, our goal is to prevent our community from getting burned.
