Located just five blocks from our medical campus, The Doorways provides a safe, affordable place for you and your family to stay during medical treatment.
Whether you’re traveling from out-of-town for an early morning appointment, facing months of daily treatments or need a place for family while you’re in the hospital, The Doorways is your “home away from home.”
Besides offering recently renovated rooms with comforts such as televisions and internet service, The Doorways supports patients and families in other important ways. Their kitchens and pantries are fully stocked with donated food and supplies for guests to prepare meals. In addition, volunteers often provide meals in the evening for guests to enjoy. For emotional support, social workers come onsite weekday evenings to help families manage concerns and logistical issues associated with accessing medical care in an unfamiliar city. Families can also use their on-site laundry rooms, which include free supplies.
Taking the emotional, logistical and financial pressure off you at a difficult time, rooms at The Doorways are available for a suggested donation of $15 per-person per-night. Your stay also includes 24/7 access to transportation to and from the hospital.
