Working with Local Teams

In addition to providing specialized care for patients throughout the community, our physicians aid collegiate athletes, local sports teams, high school athletes and seasoned minor leaguers.

Virginia Commonwealth University

Our physicians proudly treat VCU Rams athletes — a Division I program that is part of the Atlantic 10 conference.

Virginia Union University

Our team also provides medical coverage to the Virginia Union University Panthers, a Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association member in Richmond, Va. that competes at the NCAA Division II level.

Longwood University

A Division I member located in Farmville, Va., Longwood University became the third university that our physicians provide coverage for, starting in fall 2014. The Lancers sponsor 14 intercollegiate sports and compete in the Big South conference.

Richard Bland College

Our physicians and outreach athletic trainers now provide coverage for Richard Bland College athletes, making the school the fourth university that our team treats. The Statesmen sponsor 7 intercollegiate sports at the Junior College Athletic Association level.

Virginia State University

Our team also provides medical coverage to the Virginia State University Trojans, a Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association member in Richmond, Va. that competes at the NCAA Division II level. This is the fifth university that our team treats.

Richmond Flying Squirrels

Our physicians provide medical coverage to the Richmond Flying Squirrels baseball team, which are the AA affiliate of the San Francisco Giants.

Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School

Our staff also provides coverage to athletes at Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School, a nationally-ranked, regional public high school in Richmond, Va., which draws a student community from twelve surrounding school districts.
