Lymphedema Rehab
Lymphedema rehabilitation addresses swelling of the tissues due to an abnormal accumulation of protein-rich fluid that’s usually absorbed and transported through the lymphatic system. Lymphedema can occur due to a genetic impairment of the lymphatic system, or an acquired impairment of the lymphatic system caused by trauma, burns, surgery, cancer treatments, or chronic swelling disorders.
Treatment
Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT) is the gold standard medical treatment program for lymphedema, it includes manual lymphedema drainage (MLD), compression, skin care, and exercise. Our Certified Lymphedema Therapists (CLT) specialize in the assessment and treatment of lymphedema, lipedema, chronic swelling conditions, and oncology rehabilitation. We incorporate traditional CDT, as well as lymphedema pumps, strength bases interventions, and manual therapy.
We offer 1-on-1 appointments with a Certified Lymphedema Therapist specifically trained in lymphedema rehab evaluation and treatment who will address your individual needs and help you achieve your goals.
