Cardiopulmonary Rehab

Cardiac rehabilitation is a monitored exercise and education program for patients who have experienced a recent heart attack or a cardiac procedure or surgery, or for patients living with heart failure. Pulmonary rehabilitation is a supervised program centered on exercise, education, and breathing re-training for individuals with various pulmonary diagnoses, including both restrictive and obstructive lung disease.

What Happens in Cardiopulmonary Rehab?

We work with you to improve your fitness level and understanding of your body’s cardiovascular and respiratory systems. We also show you ways to get your body moving, at your own pace, to make your heart and lungs healthier, while considering other medical conditions which may impact your ability to exercise. We educate you on heart-healthy nutrition, lifestyle changes, and how to manage your personal risk factors to help prevent recurrence and progression of disease while also improving your quality of life.

We offer individualized therapy in a group setting with a rehabilitation therapist certified by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation who will address your individual needs and help you achieve your goals.
