Numerous bronchoscopic technologies are used to treat benign and malignant airway obstruction. These procedures can be performed with flexible bronchoscopy under conscious sedation or rigid bronchoscopy which requires general anesthesia. Many cases including complex rigid bronchoscopy procedures can be done on an outpatient basis.
