Laboratory Services

VCU Medical Center is a licensed, full-service clinical and anatomical laboratory, managed by pathologists and technical staff with our Department of Pathology.

We provide comprehensive laboratory testing and consultative services to patients and community physicians including blood bank, clinical chemistry, coagulation, cytology, hematology, histology, phlebotomy and urinalysis.

To allow time to collect and process samples, we ask that all patients arrive at least 30 minutes prior to closing.
