VCU Health Community Memorial Hospital names vice president of operations

Brenda Palmore, DHA, FACMPE, who has been serving in an interim capacity, has officially been named vice president of operations at VCU Health Community Memorial Hospital (CMH), effective Jan. 8.
Palmore joined CMH in 1998. With more than two decades of health care leadership, Palmore has been a constant driver of innovation, fostering collaboration, and enhancing the quality of care for our South Hill patients and community. As vice president of practice management and business development, she has overseen operational success across 17 hospital-owned clinics, led physician recruitment and retention efforts, and played a pivotal role in merging CMH’s physician groups to streamline services.
Palmore will continue to oversee the CMH Foundation, where she has successfully led fundraising initiatives, donor development, and community engagement efforts. Her strategic vision and commitment to service have strengthened our philanthropic support and expanded our ability to meet the needs of our patients and community.
Palmore’s dedication to excellence and community impact is further reflected in her extensive volunteer service and her commitment to mentoring future health care leaders as an associate professor at Liberty University. She holds a Doctorate in Healthcare Administration and Leadership from the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston, SC.
