What’s one of the most common health concerns in the United States? You may be surprised to learn it’s hearing loss. Around 48 million people in the country (20% of the total population) has trouble hearing. What causes hearing loss? Are there warning signs of hearing loss? How can hearing loss be treated? How do I know if I need hearing aids?
If you are seeking answers to questions like these you should attend November’s C.O.R.E. (Community Out-Reach Education) Program at VCU Health Community Memorial Hospital to learn about hearing loss.
This FREE program will be on Thursday, November 29th at 4:00 p.m. in the VCU Health CMH Education Center inside the new C.A.R.E. Building located at 1755 N. Mecklenburg Avenue in South Hill.
The speakers for the program with be Dr. Saleem Naviwala and Lynette Reville, audiologist. Dr. Naviwala is an Otolaryngologist, an Ear, Nose, and Throat doctor who specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of people with diseases and conditions of the ears, nose and throat as well as disorders of the head and neck. Lynette Reville is an audiologist that specializes in the diagnosis, evaluation and treatment of hearing and balance disorders. Both, Dr. Naviwala and Lynette see patients at CMH Ear, Nose and Throat located inside the C.A.R.E. Building. To schedule an appointment with either provider, please call 434.584.CARE (2273).
