Telehealth: Visit your doctor without leaving home
April 10, 2020As the COVID-19 pandemic keeps us at home and six feet apart, you may prefer to see the doctor from your computer or mobile device (telehealth). You can do this through the VCU Health MyChart app.
What is telehealth?
Telehealth refers to doctor’s appointments in which you and your doctor see and speak to each other from the convenience of your home or elsewhere using your smart phone, home computer or tablet with a front-facing camera.
How do I sign up?
To schedule a telehealth visit, download our app, VCU Health MyChart. If you need help downloading the app, please call your doctor's office. Someone there can schedule your telehealth visit or email you instructions on how to download the MyChart app.
Your health and safety are important to us
Limiting your exposure to other people is an important means of protecting yourself from COVID-19. But skipping your doctor’s appointments for fear of exposure can be harmful. Please consider telehealth.
As part of our commitment to help contain the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), VCU Health is currently waiving co-pays for scheduled virtual visits. However, you may still receive a bill from your provider for a copay or other additional amount.
