In October, members of the Steel City Connection, a group of Pittsburgh sports fans, donated $7,248 to Children’s Hospital Foundation (CHF), representing money raised during the 2016-17 sports season. Each week during football season, club members gather for Steelers games and collect donations for CHF. In addition, the club, which also supports Pittsburgh hockey and baseball, sponsors special events to support its fundraising efforts and participates in CHF’s Four Mile Fun Run and Bowl-A-Thon events.
