Pumpkin Pie Smoothie Bowl

A slightly sweet breakfast-in-a-bowl perfect for ushering in the classic flavors of autumn.

Pumpkin Smoothie Bowl with Toppings

Ingredients

  • ½ cup canned pumpkin puree, unsweetened
  • ¼ cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 ripe banana, cut into slices, frozen
  • 2 tablespoons almond or peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon real maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice*, or to taste
  • Optional garnishes: small amounts of chia seeds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, chocolate chips, nuts or berries.

Preparation

  • Combine all ingredients in a blender or food processor and mix until smooth.
  • Transfer to a bowl, and top with optional garnishes as desired.

Nutritional Information

Makes 1 serving. Approximate nutrients per recipe (without optional garnishes): 386 calories, 19 grams protein, 15 grams fat, 35 grams carbohydrate, 7 grams fiber, 110 mg sodium.

Pumpkin Spice Seasoning Mix*

If you don’t have pumpkin pie spice at home, make it with spices you may already have on hand.

  • 1⁄2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1⁄4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1⁄4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1⁄4 teaspoon allspice
  • 1⁄4 teaspoon cloves
