Nearly 250 VCU Health doctors recognized as Richmond 'Top Docs'
The annual recognition highlights the exceptional patient-focused care our team members provide to patients in the Richmond region, and beyond.
April 02, 2024Richmond Magazine has published its annual list of top doctors in the Richmond region. VCU Health is prominently showcased with nearly 250 providers featured among the 440 selected for the final list.
The VCU Health providers named to this year's Top Docs oversee the care of patients all across our academic health system, including Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU, VCU Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center, VCU Stravitz-Sanyal Institute for Liver Disease and Metabolic Health, VCU Hume-Lee Transplant Center and VCU Health Pauley Heart Center. Special recognition was also given to medical professionals who are not doctors, such as pharmacists, physician assistants and nurse practitioners.
“Being acknowledged by Richmond Magazine’s annual Top Docs list is a testament to the unwavering dedication of our team members. Their commitment to our patients is shown every day through meeting the unique needs of every individual in our care,” Marlon Levy, M.D, interim CEO of VCU Health and interim vice president of VCU Health Sciences. “It is an honor to continue to receive this recognition from the community, as it validates the exceptional work of our team.”
As part of the magazine's April edition, Nicholas Thomson, Ph.D., director of research for the Injury and Violence Prevention Program at VCU Medical Center's Level I trauma center, was included in a feature story about his work using virtual reality to help people at risk of gun violence.
