More than a dozen VCU Health physicians named 2024 Exceptional Women in Medicine by Castle Connolly
The list features several team members who demonstrated leadership, expertise and dedication in 13 medical specialties ranging from geriatric medicine to surgery.

Castle Connolly, a leading informational directory for patients looking to connect with health care experts, recently highlighted 13 VCU Health physicians on its 2024 Exceptional Women in Medicine list for several specialties. The list recognized 8,300 women across the nation from 77 medical specialties. These providers are also included in the publishing organization’s Top Doctors survey.
The exceptional women highlighted from VCU Health included providers with a wide range of clinical expertise, including some from Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU, VCU Health Pauley Heart Center and the Center for Advanced Care Management.
The Exceptional Women in Medicine recognition is based on several criteria such as peer nominations, research and academic contributions, volunteer work within health care andinnovations in their field.
