VCU Health Community Memorial Hospital (CMH) will host an upcoming Community Out-Reach Education (CORE) event highlighting thoracic outreach services on Friday, Oct. 11. The event will feature Walker Julliard, MD, a board-certified thoracic surgeon, who recently opened CMH’s new thoracic clinic.

There are a wide range of care and treatment options now available at thoracic outreach surgical services, which attendees will have the opportunity to learn about during the CORE event.

Julliard brings extensive experience in treating these conditions, such as lung and esophageal cancer, mediastinal tumors, hiatal hernia/reflux surgery, chest wall disorders, and tracheal diseases.

As a new CMH team member, Julliard hopes to provide specialized care for patients in the South Hill community and surrounding areas.

Julliard is currently accepting patients for thoracic outreach surgical services at the C.A.R.E. Building, located next to the hospital at 1755 N. Mecklenburg Avenue, South Hill, VA. To learn more about the services offered, please visit vcuhealth.org/cmh or call 434-584-5513 to schedule an appointment.
