Carreras Gives Thanks, an annual program of Carreras Jewelers, recognized volunteers who work with local nonprofit organizations during a ceremony on Nov. 1 where the honorees were presented with a sterling silver bracelet with diamond pendants. For the fifth year, Children's Hospital Foundation (CHF) was invited to nominate a volunteer for the program. Sarah Irby, Director of Community Relations, CHF, nominated Crystal Gibson, a member of CHF’s Four Mile Fun Run planning committee, pictured here with her husband, Ryan. Crystal and Ryan have been leading the Steel City Connection, which supports CHF with generous donations and participation in various events including the annual Fun Run and Bowl-A-Thon, since 2013.
