Fire Prevention Day, Presented by Geico, Promotes Children's Health

Nearly 500 children ages 4 to 7 learned about health and safety topics at this annual event
Local organizations congregated on the front lawn of Children's Hospital of Richmond at VCU's Brook Road Campus on October 3rd to teach local children about health and safety topics. In recognition of October as Fire Safety Month, fire departments set up fire trucks, fire safety houses, and smoke detector safety demonstrations to teach fire prevention and safety.
Richmond Fire Department, Richmond Police Department, Hanover Fire Department, Virginia Department of Forestry, Richmond Ambulance Authority and American Red Cross were all in attendance and supported the event.
