Dining Donations Make Big Impact
September 12, 201710 Richmond-area Wendy’s locations raise $5,396 during first month-long campaign
Diners at 10 Richmond-area Wendy’s locations made a big impact on Children’s Hospital Foundation (CHF) in March by donating a total of $5,396 during the restaurant’s inaugural month-long campaign.
“I think it’s important to be involved in supporting our local communities,” said Mike DelDuco, Area Director, Wendy's of Virginia. “Our founder Dave Thomas would say, ‘Give Something Back.’ Our communities continue to come in and support our brand so the least we can do is support them as well.”
Guests were asked to add a 50 cent donation to their order, and additional funds were raised from donation jars and store bake sales. Mike said employees were excited to raise money for the cause, and guests responded well to the campaign.
“We felt it was important to support the hospital because of everything they do for special needs children and their families,” Mike said. “We are glad the campaign was successful and look forward to an even more successful campaign in 2018.”
