South Hill – You are cordially invited to attend April’s health seminar featuring one of the region’s foremost neurosurgeons specializing in surgical treatments for movement disorders. Learn about deep brain stimulation (DBS); a state-of-the-art procedure used to treat Parkinson’s disease, essential tremor and dystonia.

Dr. Kathryn L. Holloway, MD, Neurosurgeon, will discuss:

• Is deep brain stimulation successful for everyone?

• What are the results of deep brain stimulation?

Dr. Holloway has been listed among the most active in the world and has a long history in the field of movement disorders and DBS surgery. She has been an implanting surgeon since 1997. Dr. Holloway is a professor of Neurosurgery at Virginia Commonwealth University and the Neurosurgical Director of the VCU Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorder Center and the Hunter Holmes McGuire VA PADRECC Center.

This FREE program will be on Thursday, April 25th at 4:00 p.m. in the VCU Health CMH Education Center inside the C.A.R.E. Building located at 1755 N. Mecklenburg Avenue in South Hill.
