Guiding You Through Insurance Coverage, Billing and Payments
Below are some of the items our team can help you with:
- Insurance claims. We’ll submit claims to your insurance company for you. Depending on your insurance coverage, you may be responsible for paying part of the cost each time you refill your medication.
- Approvals and denials. Together with your provider, we’ll work with your insurance company to obtain prior authorization, respond to claim denials or submit appeals.
- Pharmacy network problems. If our pharmacy is no longer in-network with your insurance company, we’ll make sure your prescription is transferred to a pharmacy that is part of the network.
Financial Assistance
If you can’t afford the cost of your medications, VCU Health Financial Assistance may be able to help.
We provide financial assistance to patients based on their income, assets and needs, and may also be able to help you get free or low-cost healthcare. Learn more about our financial assistance program.
