As part of our dedication to treating the whole patient at VCU Health Hume-Lee Transplant Center, we understand that emotional support and guidance is as important as even our most state-of-the-art medical treatment. Our licensed social workers play an important role on your transplant team, guiding you and your family through the transplantation process in a way that is manageable and healthy and connecting you with resources and support groups to help you deal with the emotional and practical challenges of transplant surgery.
