Directions to the Volunteer Services Office

To park in the Patient & Visitor Parking Deck*

The street address for the parking deck is 550 N. 12th St., Richmond, Virginia 23219

• Take I-95 exit 74-C onto Broad Street (or take Broad Street all the way) to 11th Street
• From East Broad Street, turn onto 11th St. (a one-way street heading north).
• Turn right on to Clay St. and then left on to 12th St. The entrance to the deck will be on your right.

To get to the Volunteer Services Office from Parking:

Exit the parking deck on level P8, and walk through the doors into the Critical Care Hospital.  Take the escalator behind the information desk to the first floor.  Continue straight, passing the gift shop and elevators on your left, through the doors marked Main Hospital.  When you reach the lobby with the brick floor (you should be looking at Panera), turn right.  When you reach the compass on the tile floor, turn left and continue on the brick floor.  Look for a sign hanging from the ceiling pointing to Cashier and Patient/Volunteer Services.  Enter through the door marked Volunteer Services. Once you've gone through the outer door, our office is the one straight ahead.

*Attention VCU Students: 

VCU students are not permitted to park in the Patient & Visitor Deck and we cannot validate parking for you.  To travel between campuses we recommend using GRTC Pulse (see below) or Route 5: head Eastbound toward Whitcomb. Exit the bus at the stop at 9th & Broad. Walk south on 9th Street to Broad Street then turn left to walk east along Broad Street crossing over 10th, 11th, and 12th Streets. Turn left and walk north one block on 12th Street past West Hospital and McGlothlin Medical Education Center. Cross Marshall Street towards the Valet Parking circle. Enter the Gateway Building through the sliding glass doors and take the stairs or Visitor Elevators to the first floor. Walk straight ahead through the double doors that say Main Hospital. When you get to the compass on the floor, turn right and walk onto the brick floor.  Look for a sign hanging from the ceiling pointing to Cashier and Patient/Volunteer Services.  Enter through the door marked Volunteer Services. Once you've gone through the outer door, our office is straight ahead.

Using GRTC:

Employees, students, AND volunteers with valid VCU/VCU Health ID and VCU GO Pass are able to ride GRTC buses at no charge!

Riding GRTC Pulse exit at the VCU Medical Center stop: If you were heading EAST toward Rocketts Landing use the crosswalk at 12th Street to cross to the other side of Broad Street; if you were heading WEST toward Willow Lawn, cross to the other side of 12th Street, staying on the same side of Broad Street. Walk north on 12th Street one block, past West Hospital and McGlothlin Medical Education Center. Cross Marshall Street toward the Valet Parking circle.
