Biography

Dr. Petersson is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery (member of AAO-HNS Cleft Surgeon Alliance), American Broncho-Esophageal Association (Council member, Social Media Committee Chair), Pediatric Head and Neck Surgical Society (President and founding member), American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology, Virginia Society of Otolaryngology (board member-at-large) and American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association.

She was a member of the women's national rowing team 1997-2000, and the 2000 Olympic rowing team.

Dr. Petersson is the BEST, probably one of the best doctors I've ever dealt with in terms of responsiveness, inspiring confidence, explaining things, not feeling rushed. I feel lucky that we have her in Richmond. We also had a great experience with her resident this time (whose name I didn't catch) -- he also had great bedside manner with my daughter, which we appreciated.
