Program Pathways

Our Dietetic Internship provides for four (4) options to allow applicants the best method to meeting their education and supervised practice needs:

• Dietetic Internship Only program (9-months)
• Masters Degree Plus DI program (20 months)
• Individualized Supervised Practice Program (ISPP) for applicants who hold a doctoral degree (length varies).
• Partner Pathway Programs (length varies) for applicants who are applying through the Drexel Partner-Plus Masters-DPD program or Early Action Program at Pennsylvania State University.

Our total yearly enrollment is 16 interns. One class of eight begins supervised practice in late August and graduates in late May, and one class of eight begins supervised practice in mid-January with a mid-to-late October graduation.

During the Spring application period, applicants have the option to apply to the August start date, the January start date, or both (you will have the ability to note your preference in your application). Therefore, all 16 Dietetic Intern positions may be filled during the Spring application cycle. After the Spring application period, if positions are still available for the January start date, the program will participate in the Fall application period to fill remaining openings.

For each of the two (2) program start dates, six (6) applicants are selected to complete the Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) concentration and two (2) are selected to complete the Community Leadership concentration.
