Accreditation Status

Our Dietetic Internship is  granted accreditation status by The Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND).   ACEND is a specialized accrediting body recognized by the Commission for Higher Education Accreditation and the United States Department of Education. After completion of a graduate degree and the internship experience, the graduate is eligible to sit for the Registration Examination for Registered Dietitians. Passing this exam allows the graduate to become a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN/RD).

Some states require licensure before being able to practice as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. Please check the state you plan to work in for licensure requirements. Virginia does not currently require licensure.
